Concurrent, a provider of Linux-based computing technologies, has announced that General Communication, a cable operator providing voice, video and data communication service, has selected Concurrent to provide video-on-demand performance data collection, warehousing and analytics. GCI will utilize Concurrent's services and solutions, including ReportOne and Operational Intelligence from Concurrent's Everstream line of data collection and management tools.
As operators continue to roll out open solutions from multiple system vendors, the need for a "common metrics" approach to managing key performance indicators has increased dramatically. Concurrent's Oi and ReportOne provide a solution for the cable and industry's for performance analytics. The tools utilize scorecards, dashboards and reports to view and share key performance indicators, thus always keeping abreast of subscriber experience.
Concurrent's Everstream line of products provides a census level, unbiased cross service data collection and aggregation platform which provides analytics for service including video-on-demand, linear and online. The product line also includes advertising capabilities such as SCTE-130 compliant campaign management and ad-targeting.
