“Our decision to distribute Storix SBAdmin was straightforward,” said Dan Jamieson, Vice President & General Manager of Lifeboat Distribution. “SBAdmin is a native bare-metal recovery solution for AIX and Linux systems; it is one more opportunity for our resellers to get the most out of a growing demand for bare-metal recovery solutions on those platforms, not to mention the increasing interest of such solutions for virtualization environments.”
“One aspect of running a successful channel program is being flexible, and that can translate into having more options available on how resellers source your products,” commented Manuel Altamirano, Sales and Marketing Director of Storix. “Lifeboat Distribution is in a growth stage, both in the size of their reseller network and in the number of new vendors they are bringing onboard. Storix is a rising software company; having a readily available network of potential reseller partners greatly facilitates our channel strategy, while reducing some of the costs associated with prospecting and eventually establishing new partners.”
Storix’s System Backup Administrator is the most flexible full-system Linux/AIX backup and bare metal recovery program on the market. Unlike typical “disk image” restore, SBAdmin allows companies to completely recover an existing system in a single step. It also allows IT to easily reconfigure and restore a system onto completely different hardware or to provision new systems. This ability significantly reduces planned and unplanned downtime along with their associated costs.
